Starry Night Asteroid...sterling, steel and 24K gold necklace

Organic sterling silver accents add a bright contrast of color to the bold geometric shapes cut from steel.  The unique hand painted and etched designs have had 24K gold added using the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo.  It is set against a sterling silver backplate with complementing design lines.  The drama of the bright and shiny sterling silver to both the oxidized silver as well as the dark steel is quite dramatic!  Rivets add height and dimension.  The end result is a contemporary and architectural design that has a somewhat celestial feeling to it.  A small sculptural piece at art to wear, it is simply stunning!
