Collection: 24 Karat Gold Textures Collection

Luminous 24 karat gold and richly etched metals come together in the 24 Karat Gold Textures Collection. Diana Hirschhorn uses keum-boo, the ancient Korean technique of adding pure 24 karat gold to silver, along with etching, fusing and other metalworking processes to create contemporary art jewelry with remarkable depth, texture, and dimension. Sometimes just a tiny touch of 24 karat gold provides a striking pop of luminosity that brings a design to life; in other pieces, generous areas of gold become the dramatic focal point.

Geometric forms, layered surfaces, and handmade heat rivets introduce movement and sculptural dimension, creating wearable art that changes with light and motion. Each design is individually handcrafted in Diana's Frederick, Maryland studio, reflecting her signature approach to contemporary jewelry and mixed-metal design.

The collection brings together sterling silver, fine silver, black steel, and copper, with 24 karat gold used in varying amounts to create contrast, warmth, and luminous detail. From subtle golden accents to bold fields of gold, each one-of-a-kind piece explores the interplay of precious metal, texture, light, and movement.
