Leaf shaped fold-formed copper earrings in a deep chocolate brown. Organic, edgy, modern, boho!

In deep chocolate brown tones, these leaf shaped fold-formed copper/sterling dangle earrings are truly one-of-a-kind! Elegant and modern, with boho flair, they curve gracefully in their gentle undulating shape. I designed and made these using a variety of techniques.

I created this by starting with a piece of bare copper sheet metal. I have textured it by rolling it through a rolling mill with a piece of paper that I have cut out in a geometric design that is uniquely mine. That pattern is now imbedded into the metal and from this I cut my wide rectangular shape which will be the form I begin with. Repeatedly annealing (meaning softening with a torch to the point of being pliable) and then folding and opening up and unfolding and gently hammering a few times...and then gently manipulating the metal into it's pleasing shape is what happens next. This technique is called fold forming.

A specially formulated patina is then applied in a luscious deep bronze color to add additional interest and dimension. Niobium ear wire feature a copper finish to coordinate and are naturally hypo-allergenic. These earrings are entirely made by hand by me in my studio. The earrings measure 3 1/4" from top to bottom and are very lightweight ad easy to wear. This is a one-of-a-kind pair. You will love wearing them...and won't ever see them on anyone else!
