Incredibly unique copper earrings boast stitched detailing with chain. Niobium ear wires
This is a one very unique and original pair of handmade earrings! Long, slender oblong copper shapes were cut out and given texture by use of a rolling mill, then I gave them contour and dimension in a hydraulic press. An opening was hand sawed down the center, then holes drilled along one edge.
Gorgeous colors with added with a torch, the technique is called a heat patina. Wire was stitched through the holes to give additional dimension and interest to the outside of the earrings, then chain added to the inside which dangles gracefully down the opening! What a combination of techniques all coming together to create one incredible fun and unique pair of earrings! These earrings are entirely made by hand, by me, in my studio.
The earrings measure 2 1/2" from top to bottom and are very lightweight and easy to wear. This is a one-of-a-kind pair. You will love wearing them...and won't ever see them on anyone else!
