Fold-Formed Copper & Sterling Silver Statement Necklace OOAK

This sculptural statement necklace is created using the fold-forming technique, where sheets of copper are repeatedly folded, annealed, and formed to develop dimensional, organic shapes. The resulting forms create movement and texture, giving the piece a strong architectural presence while remaining lightweight and wearable.

Each element is individually shaped and assembled with sterling silver accents, creating contrast between warm copper tones and cooler metal surfaces. Created one piece at a time in my Frederick, Maryland studio, this necklace reflects an exploration of structure, process, and form.

The necklace lies beautifully along the neckline, with softly domed forms that catch the light and shift with movement. A chain and toggle closure complete the piece, reinforcing both its functionality and design.
