Aurora Noir – Elongated Black Onyx & Swarovski Kinetic Earrings

A vintage Swarovski crystal shimmers above an elongated, faceted black onyx drop, creating a striking contemporary composition of color, contrast, and movement. As light plays across the crystal’s precision-cut facets, it reveals shifting flashes of raspberry, violet, amber, gold, blue, and orange. The deep black onyx provides a dramatic counterpoint to the crystal’s vibrant, ever-changing colors.

The square Swarovski crystal is framed in a dimensional black setting with a polished silver-toned inner bezel, creating layered depth and a bold architectural effect. The elongated marquise-shaped black onyx drop is framed in sterling silver, extending the silhouette and adding elegant movement. A precision micro screw connection allows the onyx component to move independently, creating a subtle kinetic quality as the earrings are worn.

Part of a limited series of three pairs, these contemporary art earrings are individually designed and fabricated by Diana Hirschhorn in Frederick, Maryland, using a limited supply of vintage Swarovski elements from the artist’s personal collection. Their sculptural design, luminous color, and rich black-on-black contrast make them a distinctive statement.
