"Copper Wings"....contemporary steel post back earrings

Flattering curved triangle shapes cut from steel, etched and then accented with fused Shibuichi.  Slightly domed and with a decided "right" and "left", they frame your face in beautifully!  Chocolate brown patina is luscious.  Very lightweight!  Sterling silver posts with secure butterfly wing nut.  

You might ask what is "Shibuichi"?  Shibuichi is a traditional and somewhat ancient Japanese copper/silver alloy.  Shibuichi was often used to decorate military nobility and officers armor in medieval times.

These earrings do have a contemporary design but with a somewhat ancient feeling to them due to the aged look caused by my etched design as well as the use of this somewhat ancient gorgeous copper alloy that I have made myself!
